Landscape design and landscape construction projects can be a major investment. You are spending hard-earned money to enhance the look and functionality of your home. For that same reason, they are important to us. We’re taking your ideas and turning them into reality, and we want to do it right. Whether we’re solving drainage issues or increasing curb appeal, we have a step by step game plan for making your project a success. Here’s how we approach it:
1.Reach out.
Contact us by phone at (515) 244-2724 or through our website to get started. The best time to begin is in early spring or even during the winter to allow plenty of time for design, scheduling, and completion. The sooner we begin, the sooner you can enjoy your new space, so plan accordingly.
2. Project Kickoff
You’ll meet with one of our landscape designers at the site. This meeting helps us get a sense of your style and what elements you want to include. For example, if you’re building a new deck, do you want metal or wood railings? Will you use it to entertain guests?
Don’t worry about having all the answers, our designers will work through that process with you. You can also bring inspiration photos of projects you’ve seen and like to help us get a feel for your want. Seeing the space in-person helps the designer get a feel for what’s feasible and what unique features can be added based on the logistics.
3. Design & Estimate Creation
After meeting with you, we’ll develop the necessary design plans and documents. This step can take one or two weeks to complete. We’ll often use 3D technology to help you visualize the finished product. We’ll also draft the project estimate during this time.
4. Design Adjustments
Once you’ve had a chance to review the proposed design, you’ll talk with the designer again to make adjustments. You’ll work together to decide on the final features, materials, and scope of work based on your budget.
5. Sign & Schedule
It’s time to make it official. We’ll deliver the final design and estimate, along with an authorization contract. Agreeing upon and signing a contract, along with providing a down-payment, are what allows us to put you on the calendar. At this time we can also give you an approximate start and completion date for your landscaping or hardscaping project.
